Who are we?
We call ourselves Evangelical Christians because we follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. We bear the name of Christian Bible Church because we seek to be faithful to that only which is written in the Holy Bible and therefore we are not bound by the traditions of men, whether they are ecclesiastical organizations or the worship of great names or saints.
Our creed
We believe in God the Father, the Lord and Creator of all things, both in heaven and in earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God, and therefore God manifest in human form, who died on the cross, who rose again from the dead on the third day, who ascended into heaven and who will return again to this earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who regenerates lost sinners, who gives new life to the believer, and who sanctifies that life by His continual abiding presence.
We believe in the Sacred Scriptures both of the Old and the New Testament and accept them as verbally inspired in the original text and therefore our only guide and authority for faith and for practice.
We believe that man is a sinner by birth and therefore under the righteous judgment of God and that he cannot in or of himself offer any thing to God to merit or to obtain eternal life.
We believe that salvation, the gift of life eternal, is obtained only by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ and therefore requires a genuine commitment of the heart to Jesus Christ alone as one’s personal Saviour.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only mediator between God and men and therefore we recognize no other mediators where human or otherwise.
We believe that every person can establish and enjoy a living relationship with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his own personal Lord and Saviour. This relationship includes:
- Forgiveness of all sin through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross.
- The certainty or assurance of eternal life here and now in time as well as forever in future life lived in the presence of God.
- The presence of God in daily life, even in the most difficult times and situations.
As a family of Believers we offer
- Meetings and occasions for worshipful praise and study of God’s Word, the Holy Bible.
- Warm and friendly fellowship with other believers.
- One-on-one Bible Studies or Study of the Bible together in a Group.
- Personal or family counseling.
